Castle Argyle Interior
In 2022, JD Studio led the thoughtful transformation of the Castle Argyle Apartments’ common areas, blending historic character with fresh, modern touches. Tasked with revitalizing this affordable housing icon in Los Angeles, we focused on creating inviting, functional, and community-centered spaces. Working closely with Beacon Group and collaborating with artist Renee Labbe, the project brought together art, design, and purpose to enhance everyday living while honoring the building’s storied past. Our design reimagined shared lounges, corridors, and amenities, enriching the experience for residents and reaffirming Castle Argyle’s place as a beloved architectural gem in the city.
